During MY Early Days

It is not a rare sight today when you walk down the streets, this is what you would have seen most of the time.

Ten years ago if I tell people someday I can just make a call and reading the newspaper at the same time using my hand phone, I will be labelled as nuts.

Can you imagine that with a Nokia 5210?

And yes, that is exactly my first phone. At my age, having a hand phone is a privilege.

But in today's world, without a hand phone? That is called Stone-age.

But time flies. Things changed.

If you notice one thing whenever you speak to an older man, say in his 50s, this phrase will be quite familiar.

"During the early days..."

And yes, during MY early days, this is something familiar.

Remember those days when we need to do a dial up in order to get connected to the internet?

And when you are connected, the "ak-ou!" sounds came to life.

The ICQ.

Also the MIRC.

To be honest I managed to hook up a few dates with girls via MIRC those days.

But shit does happens at times.

That is normal.

And yes, it happened to me couple of times.

Even for girls, do not laugh. Shits HAPPENED to you girls too.

Also, during MY early days, my mum always says:

"Why always on Facebook!! You got nothing better to do mer?? Kid nowadays..."

The next thing I knew.

How time flies, how people changed.

Wondering what would happened if she has discovered Friendster in the early days.

Funnily enough, whenever I called home these days, a simple questions like "Did you guys had your dinner?"

Out of 10 times, 5 times the reply will come like this.

"You didn't see Facebook mer? Today your father cooked some crabs and we POSTED IT ON FACEBOOK!"

"No I didn't notice that..."

"It's OK. We will TAG you in the picture".

"Thanks mum! But NO thanks!"

Yes. The world has changed.

Much faster than I would have thought.

I would love to know, ten years down the road, what would have change?

I am going to talk about that in my post, in July 2024.

My Hotel

Many years ago before my dad started his own business, he used to work as the Manager in hotel line.

I used to travel a little bit, and sometimes the hotels felt like a second home to me. Thus, one day I decided to have a hotel business on my own.

But the thing is, setting up a new hotel also means you might need to rob a bank. But recently I have found a way to go around it.

All with USD 2.99.

Downloaded the "Hotel Dash" on my Ipad.

A very simple game where you got to managed the hotels by yourself.

Even a cruise ship style.

The main objective by playing this game is, try to keep you customer happy and prompt on their request. (Their baggage, meals, towels, etc etc).

The longer you kept your customer waiting, their level of "happiness" will dropped and you will be getting less tips during check outs.

As the levels get higher, you bet you will have a hard time to please everyone. So this is not the game for you if you are sober or high on weeds.

You can also decorate your room with the available "star bill". The better the decoration, the happier the customer will be.

And end of the day, you can check your score.

You can either "achieve the goal" or "becoming a pro/expert" at the end of every level.

A good game to play while waiting for your partner to finish with her make up.

It is available in the apple platform now.

Strongly recommended.
